Menopause is a topic that has been of incredible interest to me both personally, and professionally, for many years now. The ability to talk, suggest and support as an educated professional on the subject inspired me to get learning!
Why? My aesthetic patients are either peri, pre, menopausal or coming out the other side and naturally discuss their menopause with me during treatments so I wanted to be in a qualified position to advise ladies in two different capacities.

My Menopause Journey
It was during my consultations that many women would open up, and a certain pattern of common grumble emerged – the physiological symptoms of the menopause. I recognised that I was in a very privileged and trusted position to guide women how to take control of their own menopause health, through informed choices.
After spending several years informally guiding women to the right doctors, practitioners and general lifestyle changes, 3 years ago I set about qualifying as a Menopause Nurse and completed my BSc (Hons) degree during 2020. My many private and personal battles over the last decade, coupled with battling every single menopause symptom there is means “I get it” and I can help medically and on a personal level.
My unfaltering passion towards female health has never wavered, and undeterred, I’ve never given up on my dream, my passion and my commitment, to raise the standards of women’s health here in Plymouth – from aesthetics through to the menopause. I am thrilled to announce that after working closely with another medical aesthetic professional, we have opened Plymouth’s first nurse and doctor, female led dedicated Menopause clinic, Menopause Decisions.
Letting go of self limiting beliefs and believing in myself has given me the keys to my future.
